This month’s Ambition Highlight honors the work of my aunt, artist and writer Paula W. Parts, whose mural and accompanying reflection hold space for my brother Kevin and for so many young Black boys and men whose lives, potential, and futures deserve to be seen in their fullness.

Orain as Icon reflects on art as remembrance, resistance, and possibility, portraying young Black life not only as what has been lost, but as what is, what was, and what still could be.
